A Hall is named after an Akora
Akora Elizabeth Frances Sey

Akora Elizabeth Frances Sey née Biney.

The authorities of the University of Ghana (UG), Legon have inaugurated a new hall which has been named after its first female graduate, Elizabeth Frances Sey née Biney. She was the 1990th student to be enrolled at Achimota School. She later returned to her alma mater to teach English.

At a ceremony at the forecourt of the Hall at Legon, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ernest Aryeetey, also an alumnus of Achimota School, described Mrs. Sey as a person who dedicated her entire life to the service of Education, adding that there is no better credential to celebrate her memory and service than naming a hall of residence after her.
