| The Second OAA Medical Outreach |

The programme started at 10:00 am with eight doctors and three nurses. In the course of the day, other doctors and medical assistants joined the team. In all, a total of eleven doctors, eight nurses, a driver from Achimota Hospital and 9 volunteers from “The Voices’, an NGO participated in the outreach. The doctors treated general ailments and referred serious cases to Achimota Hospital. Patients were given free medication donated by our sponsors who included East Cantonment Pharmacy, Paracelsus, M & G Pharmaceuticals, and Mepha Research. We were supported in other ways by the Rotary Club, Kingdom Books & Stationery, Zain and Unilever.
The OAA will take this opportunity to thank the following Akora Doctors, Ayekoooo!! Akora Doctors Emily Onuoha, Jennifer Welbeck, Henrietta Asare, Audrey Forson, Theodore Boafor, Victor Etwire, Nana Esi Gaisie, Joycelyn Assimeng, Nana Sereboe, Juliana Mitchel, Ellen Osei, Patience Akude and Naa Larteley Quarcoo and the following nurses; Philomina Kissiwaa, Jessica Ametsiah, Justina Twumasi Ankrah, Victoria Mensah, Charlotte Blaber, Comfort Hammond, Rene Dosu and Akua Asante, whose hard work contributed immensely to the success of the programme. At the same time the OAA expresses its gratitude also to Akoras George Dako ('57), Joe Ohemeng ('76), Eric Amedzo ('91) and the 1987 Year Group for their contributions to the programme.
