Recent Achievements of Old Achimotans Print E-mail

The following Akoras have been in the news during last year for the various achivements listed below.


Akora Prof Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills of the 1961 Year Group was elected President of the Republic of Ghana on 28 December 2008 and sworn in on 7 January 2009 for a 4 year term.

Akora Dr Adom Winful of the 1973 Year Group was elected President of the Ghana Medical Association for the 2008/2010 term.

Akora Prof Nii Otu Nartey of the 1973 Year Group was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Akora Osei Kwami Agyeman of the 1975 Year Group was elected President of the Ghana Institute of Architects for the 2009/2010 term. He took over from another Old Achimotan, Akora Nii Teiko Evans Anfom who  held the position previously and joins a long line of  Akoras who have held that position.

Akora Norkor Duah of the 1975 Year Group was elected CIMG Marketing Woman for 2008.

Akora Ekow Afedzie of the 1979 Year Group was appointed the Dep. Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Akora George Andah of the 1987 Year Group was elected CIMG Marketing Practitioner for 2008.
